Improved Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) with Hertfordshire Wellbeing Service

The Wellbeing Service offers psychological help and practical support for young people experiencing a wide range of very common mental health problems such as worry, low mood, insomnia, panic and stress. We can help you improve your self esteem and reduce anxiety. We aim to teach you skills and techniques to better manage your symptoms and help you feel in control. The service is open to everyone aged 16+ and registered with a GP in Hertfordshire.

The Hertfordshire Wellbeing service provides psychological interventions and practical support for people with mild to moderate depression and anxiety disorders. This can include Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and much more.

Many of the options we offer are based on cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) which has been shown to be a highly effective psychological therapy for people experiencing anxiety and depression and ill mental health. CBT involves looking at the way you think and your ways of coping to identify changes that you can make to improve your wellbeing.

We deliver treatment in a variety of ways to ensure we can support those needing help as flexibly as possible. This includes guided self-help using self-help materials, facilitated Computerised CBT programs, skills based workshops, and individual one-on-one sessions.
