Interested digital music production? Or recording your own tracks? This YC Hertfordshire music project is for you! It's a free project open to all 13 to 17 year olds and runs every Tuesday at YouthPoint in Watford, from 6pm to 8pm. You'll have the chance to use our state-of-the-art professional standard music production equipment. YC Hertfordshire is the new name for Youth Connexions.

At the YC Hertfordshire Beat the Blues Project at YouthPoint you'll learn to use our professional music production software as well as how to record in the music studio. You will have the opportunity to develop the skills invaluable in the music industry:

  • learning how to use Logic or Reason in our mac lab
  • recording a live track in the studio using Pro Tools and our professional quality equipment
  • using our in house instruments: drums, keys, guitars, bass and percussion.

For more details of the amazing facilities that you'll be working with, see this page about the music and media studio at YouthPoint.

No booking is needed to attend, but if you would like to come in and record during our sessions please email studio1@hertfordshire.gov.uk.

You can record your own music or covers, and if you’d like to learn the technical side we can also teach you that!
