YC Hertfordshire LGBTQ Project for Young Adults, Waltham Cross
- Waltham Cross
This LGBTQ project is YC Hertfordshire's Broxbourne Team's project for young adults aged 18-24 who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or questioning their sexuality or gender (LGBTQ+). Joining the group will allow you to meet other young LGBTQ people in a safe space. You'll find the meetings informative and fun and the staff supportive to all who attend. We aim to provide a support network and opportunities for young LGBTQ people to socialise and learn new skills. The group meets every Monday, 7.30pm-9.30pm.
The YC Hertfordshire Broxbourne Team's LGBTQ Project meets every Monday, 7.30-9.30pm, at a location in Waltham Cross which will be made available once you contact us. We have a strict confidentiality policy to respect the needs of all involved.
Come along and enjoy meeting other LGBTQ young people in a safe space. We provide information and advice for those who are coming out and those who need a little more help. We also offer emotional support, useful strategies for managing the ups and downs of coming out, and finding ways to feel comfortable and confident with your own identity.
You can gain new skills in our practical workshops, discuss LGBTQ issues, fundraise for LGBTQ charities, listen to live music, or take part in arts and crafts, creative writing and cooking. Group members take the lead in deciding what activities and projects the group will do.
It's completely free to attend and no booking is needed. Please contact us for the location of the project.
