The Urgent Care Centre at the QEII Hospital is a walk-in NHS service you should use if you need urgent medical help, but if it’s not life-threatening. You can also walk in to the UCC to see a GP without an appointment. It is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Adults children and babies of all ages with minor injuries or minor illnesses can go to the QEII Hospital Urgent Care Centre. No appointment is necessary. The QEII UCC has replaced the A&E department at this hospital. For serious, life-threatening or dangerous conditions, go to your nearest Accident and Emergency (A&E) Department, either the Lister Hospital in Stevenage or Watford General Hospital, or call 999.

The Wellbeing Service offers psychological help and practical support for young people experiencing a wide range of very common mental health problems such as worry, low mood, insomnia, panic and stress. We can help you improve your self esteem and reduce anxiety. We aim to teach you skills and techniques to better manage your symptoms and help you feel in control. The service is open to everyone aged 16+ and registered with a GP in Hertfordshire.

The Cheshunt Community Hospital has a sexual health and family planning clinic on Monday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.30pm offering free, confidential advice and information about contraception and sexual health. The clinic is for women, men and young people, including those who are under 16 years of age. You can get free condoms, emergency contraception (morning after pill), the pill, contraceptive injections, implants and coils. This clinic also offers chlamydia screening for under 25s. This is an appointment-based clinic, please call 0300 008 5522 to make an appointment.
